Multiple reports indicate Sean Peyton has decided to step away as coach of the New Orleans Saints. A source tells ESPN that Peyton is nor retiring, but just stepping away after 16 years with the franchise. The 58-year-old Peyton has three years remaining on his contract with the Saints and could require compensation if he decides to coach another team.
ESPN reports a source as saying the Baltimore Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh are nearing completion of a contract extension. The 59-year-old Harbaugh is entering the final year of a four year deal signed in 2019. Harbaugh’s agent says it should be done in the next few weeks.
