Ky. adds 15,305 COVID cases, 23 deaths

For the first time in weeks, the COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky actually decreased slightly as the state saw 15,305 new cases from Monday to Tuesday.

The positivity rate is now at 33 percent even, down very slightly from 33.06 percent the day before—there were 23 new deaths, putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 12,786.

All 120 counties remain ‘red’ on the COVID-19 state incidence rate map.  There are currently 2,397 individuals in the hospital with coronavirus, 452 in the ICU and 272 on a ventilator.
