A woman was arrested at the Travel Inn on East Ninth Street in Hopkinsville Saturday morning after she allegedly cut a man with a knife.
The male victim told Hopkinsville police that he had let 35-year old Lashikka Anderson into his room for the night because it was cold and she needed a place to get warm.
When he asked her to leave in the morning, she reportedly refused and allegedly grabbed a knife and cut the victim across the back, causing a three-inch laceration.
She also punched and kicked the victim several times, according to the report.
Anderson, who initially gave officers a different name, was arrested and a search of her person and property allegedly turned up drug paraphernalia.
She was charged with second-degree assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving an officer false identifying information.
