Unemployment was down last month in Kentucky

Unemployment fell from November to December in Kentucky and it was also down from a year ago.

Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary December unemployment rate was 3.9 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, down two tenths of a point from the 4.1 percent reported in November and down 1.7 percentage points from the 5.6 percent recorded for the state one year ago.

The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for December 2021 was 3.9%, down from the 4.2% reported in November 2021, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
