A Democrat filed papers to run for Hopkinsville City Council in Ward 11 Tuesday.
Jose Quinonez is running for the seat currently held by Republican Jason Bell, who had not yet filed to seek re-election as of Tuesday morning.
Quinonez is currently unopposed.
