U.S. Senator Rand Paul made several stops in western Kentucky Tuesday, including in the Pembroke community to visit with those who were impacted by the devastating tornadoes.
Senator Paul spoke with local leaders about community, state and federal response in the weeks following the disaster, asking them what help they needed from his office to get more things cleared and moving with government. He says he’s been amazed by the efforts not just from the government, but by individual people in a time of great need.
As for federal response, Senator Paul urged people to make sure they’re filing their FEMA applications, and if anyone needs any help with the application process or an appeal, they can contact his office.
He says as he’s toured the damage in multiple places, he’s heard many stories that make him proud of Kentucky and those who live in it.
