A fire in the attic damaged a home on East First Street in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to 801 East First a few minutes after 5:30 and found smoke coming from the home, according to Lt. Payton Rogers, who says a small area of the attic was found to be involved in fire.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and it was confirmed that no one was in the home.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.
