UHA, HCA & Christian County boys lose while Hopkinsville wins Friday night/Area Scores

UHA fell to Caldwell County 87-78. Jabrion Spikes had 33 points to lead Caldwell County while Gavin Grubbs led all scorers with 41 points for University Heights. The Tigers improved to 11-3 with the win while the Blazers fell to 6-8.

Lyon County crushed Heritage Christian Academy 96-54. The Lyons got 27 points from Brady Shoulders and Travis Perry added 25 as they improved to 9-4. Matthew Wills and Jason Leek each had 10 points in defeat for the Warriors, now 4-5 vs. KHSAA schools. Caldwell County meets Lyon County in the 2nd Region All A final tonight at 6 at UHA.

Hopkinsville had five players in double figures as they defeated Madisonville 75-61. Bubba Leavell led the Tigers with 14 points while Antonio Williams and Daisjuan Mercer added 13 as Hopkinsville improved to 9-4. Kale Gaither led all scorers with 23 points for Madisonville as the Maroons fell to 12-5. Hopkinsville is back in action Tuesday night hosting Kenwood.

Christian County lost in its opening game of the Evansville Harrison Warrior Showcase to the host Warriors 62-47. The Colonels fell to 4-10 and will play Bosse at 10:45 Saturday morning and Castle at 5:45 Saturday evening.
