Quiet week of weather expected in western Kentucky

It’s looking like western Kentucky should see a much-needed week of uneventful weather as we enter the middle of January.

Meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah said during the weekly conference call expect temperatures to moderate through the week and only a chance of light rain by Friday night.

Colder and wetter than normal conditions are expected next week, but that doesn’t necessarily mean any winter storms in the forecast for next week at this time.

Any flooding in our area has receded and only minor flooding was being reported on the Ohio River following last week’s snow and the weekend rain.
