Hopkinsville police arrested a man for felony assault Thursday morning following an investigation on Hope Street.
Officers were called to disturbance in the 700 block of Hope about 10:45 a.m. and the 35-year old female victim claimed 39-year old Morris Roebuck of Hopkinsville had hit the back of her head, causing her to fall and then put his knee on her back and stomped her hand.
The report says the victim had bruising on her hand and marks on her chest.
Roebuck was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
He was also served with warrants for contempt of court.
