There have been several more filings to run for office in Christian County, as the current filing deadline of Friday approaches.
For Hopkinsville City Council, Democratic Incumbent for Ward 9, Patricia Bell has filed her papers to seek reelection—she will face either republican candidate Ardell Owens once again, or republican candidate Jamie Lynn Lienberger, after they square off in a primary election.
In Ward 7, Doug Wilcox has filed to run as a republican, where he will face Mark Graham in a primary. Democrat William Coleman has filed to run in that ward as well.
Sherry Byerline filed to run for Constable in District 6, while Richard Leavell filed in District 7 for Constable.
