The Pennyroyal Arts Council and The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will host a benefit concert at the Alhambra Theatre in downtown Hopkinsville on Saturday at 7 p.m. to aide Christian County and western Kentucky victims impacted by devastating tornadoes last month.
Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director Margaret Prim appeared Tuesday morning on WHOP and says it will be a good time with a great performance by a group who has a passion to help the storm victims.
Organizers say the benefit will serve as a night of healing and impact featuring gospel and big band music from The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra and local talent.
Prim thanked the WHOP Family of Stations and numerous other local businesses who helped make the charity event possible.
All proceeds from the concert will be dispersed between the Christian County Chamber of Commerce Gift Cards for Compassion campaign and the Kentucky Sports Radio & Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Tornado Relief Fund. Tickets are on sale now at pennyroyalarts.org.
