One flown to Nashville hospital following Pennyrile Parkway collision

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has identified the man hurt in a wreck involving a semi on the Pennyrile Parkway Thursday afternoon.

According to Major Jason Newby, the victim who was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville is identified as William Wight of Owensboro, who is being treated for multiple broken bones. The driver of the semi, James Coleman of Evansville, was not injured in the collision.

As previously reported, the wreck just south of the Crofton exit on the northbound side of the Parkway around 3:50 p.m. when Wight was parked in the shoulder changing a tire and his vehicle was reportedly struck by the semi.
