The Christian County Health Department reported 301 new cases of COVID-19 locally since December 22, and they’re urging people to be cautious as we head into the New Year.
Those new cases bumped the overall total locally up to 11,911—of that, 394 are currently considered active and 11,361 people have recovered from the virus since the pandemic began. Christian County has had 156 COVID-19 related deaths.
Health officials say Christian County, much like the rest of the nation, is experiencing a stark increase in COVID-19 cases. As we see our COVID-19 cases begin to surge, it’s important now more than ever to wear a mask in public, practice good hygiene, stay home if you’re under the weather, and get vaccinated or boosted if you haven’t already
