Suspect arrested after Greenville Road shooting incident

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a shooting incident from Wednesday night that put the victim in a Nashville hospital and the alleged shooter in jail.

Deputy Chris Miller says the victim was in an argument with 49-year old Raymond Brown of Hopkinsville over a set of keys at about 11 p.m. at a residence on Greenville Road.

Brown allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him once in the torso, with Deputy John Quarles telling WHOP News that the victim was inside a vehicle when he was shot.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and was later transferred to a Nashville hospital, where his condition was unknown.

Brown was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
