Play continued Tuesday at the City of Hopkinsville/Toyota Classic at Hopkinsville High’s Tiger Gym.
The host Tigers had four players in double figures in routing Central 79-46. Bubba Leavell led Hopkinsville with 17 points while Daisjuan Mercer, Antonio Williams and KC Cabiness added 13 each. The Tigers are now 4-2 on the season. Central was led by Joshua Bivens with 14 points in falling to 4-5.
Freshman Elijah Watson had 14 points as University Heights downed Northwest 58-40. Lemar Northington added 13 points and Quinton Quarles pitched in 10 as the Blazers improved to 3-5. Northwest was led in scoring by Servontae Williams with 13 points in going to 1-8.
Christian County was crushed by Bowling Green 77-38. Jordan Miles was the only double figure scorer for the Colonels with 12 points in falling to -25. Turner Buttry’s 19 points led the Purples now 8-0.
