Clarksville police are investigating after two people were shot, one fatally, in an incident Monday afternoon on Ringold Road.
Officers were called to conduct a welfare check at a home in the 400 block of Ringold about 5 p.m. and found a female dead from gunshot wounds and a man injured after being shot.
The man was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment and names of those involved have not been released.
Clarksville police believe it’s an isolated incident and that it doesn’t represent a threat to the public.
