FEMA representatives in Pembroke area through Thursday

A team of FEMA representatives is in the Pembroke area through Thursday meeting with residents impacted by the December 11 tornado and assisting them with applying for assistance.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says five FEMA workers will be going to locations where damage was done and helping those folks get signed up.

Graham says those representatives will have information on all assistance programs available and will be able to answer any questions.

He says the FEMA representatives will have badges with photo ID. There have been reports of scammers claiming to be from FEMA elsewhere in western Kentucky and Graham reminds residents that real FEMA employees will never ask for a payment to receive services.
