SATURDAY SPORTS BRIEFS 12/18/21

NFL

COVID has forced the NFL to make schedule changes. Saturday’s Cleveland-Las Vegas game will now be played Monday beginning at 4 pm Central. Sunday’s Washington-Philadelphia and Seattle-Los Angeles Rams games will be played on Tuesday beginning at 6 pm Central time for each game.

NHL

Tanner Jeannot scored the winning goal in overtime as the Nashville Predators edged the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 Friday night. The Predators have now won seven games in a row and play at the Carolina Hurricanes Sunday afternoon.

Golf

Tiger Woods hit the links Friday with his son, Charlie, at the PNC Championship pro-am in Orlando. Woods last played competitive golf a year ago at the same event. The PNC Championship pairs a former major winner with a family member of their choice for the two-day event that begins Saturday. It is still unknown when Woods will make his official return to a PGA Tour event.
