An investigation on South Virginia Street late Monday night led to a woman being arrested on strangulation and assault charges.
Hopkinsville police determined 19-year old Desiree Youngblood of Hopkinsville allegedly choked a juvenile during some type of altercation at a residence in the 1700 block of South Virginia at about 10:30 p.m.
Youngblood was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
