The University of Louisville named deputy athletic director Josh Heird as its interim athletic director today. Heird said in a statement there were phenomenal things going on in the athletic department at U of L and the department was “rock solid”. Heird had been the right hand of former athletic director Vince Tyra, who resigned from his position last week.
