Kiwanis selling ornaments, gourmet nuts to help raised funds for programs

The Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville is the midst of selling ornaments and gourmet snacks, all in the name of raising money to benefit their numerous community programs.

Vice President Chandler Ladd says they have their 100th anniversary ornament up for grabs now, along with their always popular gourmet nuts—she says you can give Kiwanis call or go to one of several places to purchase them.

She says the funds raised go to benefit their programs, including Warm the Children, the Soapbox Derby, and more.

On Warm the Children, Ladd says they were able to help provide warm winter clothing to about 250 children in the community this year.

Ladd is also the Christian County Chamber of Commerce Director of Marketing Development, and she says if you’re looking for a place to donate to the relief efforts in the western Kentucky and are not sure where to send it, contact the Chamber and they can point you in the right direction or take those donations for you.
