Ky. gains 2,773 COVID cases, 63 deaths

The positivity rate fell slightly once again Friday, as Kentucky gained 2,773 new cases of COVID-19.

There were 63 newly reported deaths, putting the death toll in the state at 11,542 since the pandemic began in the Commonwealth—the positivity rate is now at 8.97 percent, a small drop from the day before.  There are 1,192 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 319 in the ICU and 191 on a ventilator.

On the COVID-19 state incidence rate map, Christian and the bulk of the surrounding counties are labelled as ‘red’—except for Todd County, which is listed as ‘yellow’.
