Severe weather possible Friday night

For the second time this week, severe weather will be possible Friday afternoon and evening in Western Kentucky.

The Storm Prediction Center already has Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee under a slight risk for severe weather Friday and National Weather Service in Paducah Meteorologist Ryan Presley says storms will be most likely in the late afternoon and nighttime hours as a cold front approaches and sweeps across the area.

Damaging wind and a few tornadoes appear to be the primary threats, though isolated flooding will be possible in areas that receive multiple rounds of heavy rain from repeat storms.
