A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for Wednesday morning for 32-year old Demario White, who’s accused of injuring two people in a shooting the day before Thanksgiving on East 18th Street, but it had to be postponed due to the suspect not having an attorney.
Christian District Judge Lindsey Adams appointed a public defender for White and continued the proceedings by one week.
White asked the judge to reduce his $50,000 bond, but Judge Adams declined to consider bond at this time.
White allegedly shot a man in the leg at 1200 East 18th and fired a shot that grazed a female, causing her only minor injuries. The male had to be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
