Man arrested with stolen car Tuesday night

Investigation of a stolen car at the East Seventh Street Dollar General Tuesday night led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for felony receiving stolen property.

Officers were called to the Dollar General on East Seventh about 6 p.m. regarding a 2015 Nissan Altima that had been left running in the parking lot and was stolen by a man wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.

The car had front fender damage and Officer Josh Stallons located it turning into Harbor Freight on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

The driver, 32-year old Miles Wood of Hopkinsville, matched the description given at Dollar General and ECC confirmed it was the stolen automobile.

Wood was arrested for receiving stolen property, under $10,000, driving on a suspended license and possession of marijuana.

Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Rico Rodriguez says Wood is also a suspect in multiple recent burglaries.
