Lawyers still negotiating in McHenry Street murder case

Trial will begin January 10 for Robert Torian, the man accused in the August, 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore on McHenry Street, if final attempts at negotiations are unsuccessful.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling told Judge Andrew Self Wednesday afternoon that he and Torian’s lawyer are going to attempt mediation to hash out a deal between now and then.

Judge Self continued the case until the trial date, but said he’s set a new hearing if negotiations are fruitful.

The original arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says Torian and Moore had been in an argument while both were passengers in a vehicle on McHenry Street in August of 2019. Torian was in the back seat when he exited, opened the front passenger door and allegedly shot Moore in the head.
