Buck O’Neil and Bud Fowler are breaking the barrier and earning the nods into the Hall. The late Gil Hodges was among six newcomers who were selected Sunday to enter Cooperstown on July 24th, 2022. Hodges manned first base for the Brooklyn and LA Dodgers and won two World Series titles with the franchise. Hodges went on to manage the New York Mets to a World Series title in 1969. He died in 1972 at the age of 47.
