WKU football’s rally comes up short at UTSA in CUSA title game

UTSA held off a second half rally by Western Kentucky to win the Conference USA championship 49-41 Friday night in San Antonio. The Roadrunners had a 42-13 lead in the third quarter before the Hilltoppers rally came up short. WKU quarterback Bailey Zappe threw for 577 yards and four touchdowns to set Conference USA title game records. WKU is heading to a bowl with an 8-5 record while UTSA improved to 12-1
