Resolution possible in second-degree manslaughter case

A resolution could be forth coming in the manslaughter case against two men accused of providing drugs to a woman who fatally overdosed in January.

Appearing alongside Joshua Long, who is charged with complicity to second-degree manslaughter, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jerad Smith says he thinks they are close to a resolution for both Long and co-defendant Seth Henderson, but he requested more time to speak with the victim’s family.

Judge Andrew Self granted the continuance, saying that is his hope that when they meet for a pretrial conference on January 26, it’s to either resolve the case or set it for trial at that time.

Henderson is charged with second-degree manslaughter. Long and Henderson are accused of selling narcotics to 23-year old Corbin Bowling of Crofton, who would reportedly die of a drug overdose in January.
