Mel Tucker is going to be one of the highest paid coaches in college football. The Michigan State head coach has agreed to a ten-year deal worth 95-million dollars to stay with the Spartans. Tucker has led number-12 Michigan State to a 9-and-2 record in his second season.
It was speculated Tucker was a candidate to replace Ed Orgeron at LSU following this season. Tucker and the Spartans will wrap up the regular season at home against Penn State on Saturday.

Thanksgiving Day means a triple header of NFL action today. The opening game has the Detroit Lions hosting the Chicago Bears followed by the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders with the New Orleans Saints hosting the Buffalo Bills in the nightcap.
The Rams move from St. Louis to Los Angeles is costing more than originally anticipated. The NFL and Rams owner Stan Kroenke agreed to pay St. Louis city and county 790-million dollars after the sides reached a settlement on Wednesday. This ends a string of court battles that lasted nearly five years.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced yesterday the 26 modern-era semifinalists for the Class of 2022. The group is highlighted by seven players in their first year of eligibility. Wide receivers Anquan Boldin, Andre Johnson, and Steve Smith, kick returner Devin Hester, defensive linemen Robert Mathis and Vince Wilfork, and outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware are the seven first-year semifinalists.

One of the heroes from the Kansas City Royals’ 2015 World Series title team is calling it quits. Relief pitcher Wade Davis announced his retirement from baseball on Wednesday at the age of 36. Davis played 13 seasons in the big leagues and finishes his career with 141 saves and three All-Star selections.
