There were several filings for political office Friday in Christian and Trigg counties.
Republican J.E. Pryor filed for Christian Fiscal Court Magistrate in District 4 and will face incumbent Darrell Gustafson in a May primary.
District 1 Magistrate Magaline Ferguson filed her papers to seek her second full term in that seat and is currently unopposed.
Meanwhile, Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree, who was appointed to that post last year following the resignation of former sheriff Jason Barnes, is seeking a first full term in 2022.
Republican Billy Calhoun is seeking the District 6 Trigg Fiscal Court seat currently held by Larry Lawrence.
Trigg District Judge Jamus Redd of Cadiz filed with the Secretary of State’s Office to seek the 56th District circuit judge seat that will be open with the retirement of Judge C.A. Woody Woodall and Jennifer Nelson of Princeton has filed to run for the district judge seat that will be left open with Judge Redd’s potential ascension.
Judge races are non-partisan in Kentucky.
