A Hopkinsville man has been indicted on charges of first-degree arson by a Christian County Grand Jury in relation to an incident that occurred in early October.
Indicted for first-degree arson is 22-year-old Brandon Seeley of Hopkinsville, who is alleged to have intentionally set fire to a Pennyroyal Mental Health crisis house, which had two other individuals inside at the time of the incident. An employee was able to use a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze before the fire department arrived and no one was injured.
Seeley allegedly told Hopkinsville police he had set the fire on purpose, reportedly saying he had done it in an attempt to kill everyone inside in the hope of being sent to Western State Hospital.
The grand jury also indicted 32-year-old Alisha White of Oak Grove with first-degree criminal child abuse, and indicted 31-year-old Gregory Redeemer of Oak Grove with complicity to first-degree child abuse. The indictments state that White intentionally abused a child under the age of 12 in September and that Redeemer failed to stop the abuse from occurring.
Also indicted for first-degree child abuse, but for a separate incident, is 22-year-old Donte Tuck of Hopkinsville, who is alleged to have intentionally abused a child under the age of 12 on September 11.
