Ky. adds 1,821 COVID cases, 38 deaths

The positivity rate stayed flat from Monday to Tuesday as Kentucky gained 1,821 cases of COVID-19.

There were also 38 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll to 10,318 since the pandemic began. The positivity rate remained at 5.73 percent, and Governor Andy Beshear said during a recent press conference that they’re looking into ways to better track cases in the Commonwealth that doesn’t rely so heavily on the positivity rate.

There are currently 739 people in the hospital with coronavirus, 204 in the ICU and 115 on a ventilator.
