Guthrie mayor, south Todd magistrate seeking re-election

Guthrie Mayor Jimmy Covington is among local officials filing for re-election.

Mayor Covington, a longtime local small business owner, is seeking a second term after defeating former mayor Scott Marshall in 2018. Covington is currently opposed by Guthrie City Councilman Zollie Rose.

Meanwhile, Guthrie area resident Jimmy Turner—the longest-serving magistrate on Todd Fiscal Court—filed his papers with the Todd County Clerk’s Office this week to seek another term and he’s currently unopposed.
