Ky. adds 1,802 COVID cases, positivity rate at 5.70 percent

The positivity rate continues to inch back up in Kentucky, now at 5.70 percent, with 1,802 new cases of COVID-19 reported Tuesday.

There were 43 newly reported deaths, putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 10,062—Governor Andy Beshear has announced they will have a memorial service for those who have been lost on Sunday on the Capital Grounds in Frankfort.

There are currently 669 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 171 in the ICU and 111 on a ventilator.  On the state incidence rate map, Christian County is listed as ‘orange’, Todd County is ‘yellow’ and Trigg County is labelled as ‘red’.
