Details have been announced on this year’s Christmas in Elkton and Elkton Christmas parade.
Officials at the Todd County Welcome Center say Christmas in Elkton will be celebrated this year on Saturday, December 11.
Several local businesses will have open house, special sales, refreshments, and other activities throughout the day followed by a nighttime Christmas Parade starting at 6 p.m.
The parade will leave Todd County Central High School on South Main Street and head north toward the Public Square, exiting onto West Main Street and ending at the Milliken Memorial Community House.
The parade features lighted floats and entries from local businesses, schools and churches.
The Grand Marshall of the parade this year will be all Todd County sports teams to celebrate their recent accomplishments.
Following the parade, Santa Claus will visit the Milliken Memorial Community House located at 208 West Main Street where you can get a free digital picture with Santa, free take home refreshments sponsored by the city and a free goodie bag sponsored by BR Knuckles Insurance.
Any person, business or organization that would like to participate in the parade, can find information at elktonky.com, call the Welcome Center at 270-265-7070 or email welcomecenter@elktonky.com.
