Multiple entities and agencies will come together Thursday to lead the funeral procession of local WWII veteran, 96-year old Elwood Richardson.
Lela Hale of Christian Care Communities was Richardson’s close friend and says the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Hopkinsville Police Department, Hopkinsville Fire Department and Patriot Guard have committed to lead the procession from Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home to Green Hill Memorial Gardens and she’s hopeful individuals will line the route and pay their respect as a community.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home.
