Princeton woman charged with DUI, wanton endangerment

A woman with a child in her vehicle is facing several charges after she wrecked Friday night in Princeton after being reported for driving into oncoming traffic.

Princeton police received a complaint of a vehicle headed the wrong direction on Main Street about 8:20 p.m. and found the automobile driven by 46-year old Deborah Jenkins of Princeton off the road and in a ditch on North Jefferson Street.

Investigation determined her to allegedly be under the influence of a substance and there was a child in the vehicle.

EMS checked on the child, who was not injured, and social services was also called and took custody of the minor.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
