L&R Soda Fountain in Elkton is hosting a “Fill the Window” community toy drive this month.
Collected toys will be displayed in the storefront window throughout the month. Guests of the restaurant who bring a toy to donate will receive a free sundae in appreciation.
The toys collected during the month-long event will be donated to Todd County Schools Family Resource Youth Services Centers. Toys and gifts for children of all ages are needed.
The Todd County Family Resource Youth Services Centers have coordinated the Christmas Angel Program for many years to help provide Christmas gifts to local children in need.
Felix Diaz is the manager of the popular store on the Elkton Public Square and says, “We look forward to collecting many toys and other items for those in need in Todd County. We all do this with a loving heart to give in the upcoming holiday season. The partnership with the Family Resources Youth Services Centers and L&R Soda Bar is a blessing all to itself.”
