Positivity rate at 5.08 percent, Ky. adds 49 COVID deaths

The positivity rate in the state continued to drop Friday, while gaining 1,623 new cases of COVID-19.

The positivity rate is now at 5.08 percent, continuing the rapid rate decline that Governor Andy Beshear has called a great sign that the state is heading in the right direction.  There were 49 newly reported deaths, putting the death toll in the Commonwealth at 9,766.

On the state incidence rate map, Christian is still labelled as ‘orange, Todd County is ‘yellow’ and Trigg County remains ‘red’.
