Parker clarifies transition of driver’s license office, local services will remain available

Christian Circuit Court Clerk Paige Parker is clarifying what the transition of drivers licensing services from her office to the new regional office in downtown Hopkinsville will mean.

Most importantly, Parker says you’ll still be able to renew your traditional driver’s license at her office in the Christian County Justice Center up until the new regional office opens in the Old First City Bank building at Ninth and Main.

The road test to obtain a driver’s license will also move downtown when the new center opens, but testing services will still be offered at the Christian County Justice Center in the meantime.

You most likely don’t have to go to an office at all to simply renew your license, as you can log onto drive.ky.gov.

The hope is to have the transitioning of all counties to regional offices in the state completed by July of 2022.
