A Trenton woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Guthrie.
Guthrie Police Chief Dean Blumel investigated and determined 30-year old Shelby Barnard of Trenton was westbound on Dixie Beeline Highway when a bug crawled onto her arm and caused her to lose control of her vehicle.
She crossed the center line, went into a ditch and traveled approximately 50 yards before hitting an embankment and going airborne.
Her car eventually came to rest on the side of a rock embankment and she was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital for back injuries.
The Todd County Rescue Squad, sheriff’s office and Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
