News Channel 5-Nashville reports the Metro Sports Authority is exploring the possibility of trying to get a WNBA franchise in the Music City. The group has hired a consultant who has already said Nashville has the population size and facilities to support a WNBA team. Bridgestone Arena and Municipal Auditorium have been mentioned as possible places for the team to play games. The Sports Authority adds the consultant is now designing a survey to see if there’s specific interest for a WNBA team to play in Nashville and where they would play.
