Four UK players have been named to the Coaches All SEC teams announced today. Junior guard Sahvir Wheeler was voted to the first team while graduate student guard Kellan Grady and junior forwards Keion Brooks Jr. and Oscar Tshiebwe were tabbed to the second team. Tennessee’s John Fulkerson and Vanderbilt’s Scotty Pippen, Jr. were also selected to the All SEC first team.
UK women’s standout Rhyne Howard has been named the Southeastern Conference Coaches Preseason Player of the Year for the third straight year. Howard has won the award the last two seasons. Also, Howard was selected today as a preseason First Team All American by the Associated Press.
