Governor Andy Beshear will be in Hopkinsville Wednesday afternoon to present the Christian County School System with the recently-announced $10 million in state grant money for construction of the new consolidated high school that includes the Gateway Academy.
With provisions in House Bill 556 this year, the Kentucky General Assembly appropriated $75 million for the current fiscal year to the School Facilities Construction Commission to help support vocational initiatives and education centers throughout the commonwealth.
Construction of the consolidated high school will allow all high school students in Christian County to be on the same campus as the Gateway Academy.
