State Representative Jason Petrie of Elkton was presented with the Kentucky Association of Counties’ 2021 County Advocate Award at Friday morning’s Todd Fiscal Court meeting.
Representative Petrie thanked KACO for their efforts and advocacy for counties and says he’ll keep working to bring more broadband internet coverage to rural areas and on other important priorities.
Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith says representatives of Homeland Security recently audited potential cyber security issues in the county’s computer systems and he received permission to go ahead with asking a third-party entity what it would cost for an assessment and cost analysis on addressing those weak spots.
Magistrate Billy Bryant with Historic Todd County, Inc. invited the community to a ceremony Saturday afternoon at 2 on the lawn of the Historic 1835 Courthouse in Elkton, where they will bury a time capsule to be dug up in 2070.
