Two people are facing charges following a road rage incident Sunday afternoon that began on I-24 and ended at Fort Campbell Boulevard and the Bypass in Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville police charged 18-year old Trevin Adkins of Herndon with fourth-degree assault and 29-year old Andrew Adams of Herndon with second-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault.

Police reports say there was some type of incident involving three vehicles on I-24 and that all three stopped at the Bypass and Boulevard intersection. That’s when Adams allegedly got out of his vehicle and threw an object into the driver’s side window of one of the vehicles, causing it to shatter.

Adams allegedly admitted he then assaulted the driver.

Adkins also admitted to assaulting one of the parties involved, causing minor injuries to himself and that person.
