KSP charges Hopkinsville man with meth trafficking

Kentucky State Police have arrested and charged a Hopkinsville man with drug trafficking following a traffic stop Sunday.

According to a news release, Trooper Justin Cornett was traveling southbound on the Pennyrile Parkway near Crofton when he observed a vehicle speeding at roughly 100 miles per hour while driving recklessly. A traffic stop was conducted and investigation reportedly revealed approximately one pound of methamphetamine, suspected ecstasy pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle.

The driver was identified as 38-year-old Antonio Matlock of Hopkinsville—he was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, driving on a DUI suspended license and multiple other traffic violations.
