Man charged following shots fired incident on Dusty Lane

A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges after he alleged fired a handgun into the air multiple times in relation to a disturbance on Dusty Lane Saturday night.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to Dusty Lane around 9:15 p.m. for reports a disturbance that turned into a shots fired call.  Upon arrival, contact was made with 47-year-old Ronald McGee of Hopkinsville, who reportedly told officers he had been an argument most of the night and that he had been drinking.

He told officers he thought the people he was arguing had left but they had reportedly returned to argue further—he fired his pistol into the air multiple times, with two individuals sitting in the driveway nearby.  A victim reportedly confirmed that’s what happened, but also told officers McGee had threatened to kill her.

McGee was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
